As you probably guess by now, Cabinet Depth Refrigerators got the monicker from… yes, the cabinets that you have in your kitchen. Cabinet Depth Refrigerator simply means they have the same depth as your other cabinets or your counter. They are so called because the idea is to make them “blend” with the rest of the kitchen ensemble, giving the place a built-in, tied-together appearance and a cohesive look and feel. The typical depth can range from 25” to 30”. Compared to regular refrigerators, however, they are a bit wider and taller in dimension. They are two different things. When you say under-cabinet refrigerators, those are generally more portable and compact. Cabinet depth refrigerators are bigger and full-sized.
